Where every receipt is also a rescue.
100% of what you spend, donate, and volunteer here goes straight back into shelter beds, court advocates, and counseling sessions for survivors. It's the engine that keeps everything else free.

Your closet, their next chapter.

Help run the engine.
Whether you're between jobs, between kids, or just looking for a place to spend a Tuesday afternoon — we have a role for you. Most shifts are 3 hours. Most volunteers stay for years.

"I started volunteering after my own daughter left a bad relationship. I've been here eleven years. The work is steady, the people are kind, and every price tag I write means somebody's safer."
Sorter & pricer
Inspect donations, sort by category, set fair prices. Behind-the-scenes, low-key, social.
Floor & merchandising
Display goods, restock racks, help shoppers find their thing. Good energy required.
Register & checkout
Run the register, greet shoppers, process tax-receipt requests. Light training provided.
Pickup driver
Drive our truck to pickup donations across the service area. Valid license & clean record needed.
When I left, I had a garbage bag of clothes. Sister's Closet gave me a coffee maker, two work outfits, and a casserole dish for my new apartment — for fifteen dollars. The volunteer who rang me up didn't make me feel like a charity case. She just told me I had good taste in mugs.
Show up the way that fits your week.
One $20 receipt funds an hour of legal advocacy. One bag of donated clothes turns into a week of groceries for a family. One Saturday shift keeps the doors open. It all counts.
